For 6 months in 2020 – 2021 I was contracted to help out at Taronga Zoo in Sydney as a Creative Designer. My role involved a large variety of design projects; from original illustrations through to detailed site maps and wayfinding.
I illustrated logos for the Zoo's internal Project Penguin and Project Koala, rolling out those designs to T-Shirts, notebooks and other collateral ready for school groups to use and engage with.
I single handedly oversaw the yearly wayfinding review – updating signage and maps across both Taronga Zoo Sydney and Taronga Zoo Western Plains. This project involved Project Management Skills, Production Skills and Illustration Skills.
I designed, illustrated and produced large format print projects, including billboards and hoarding positioned front of house in the Zoo foyer.
I updated on site signage. This involved photo retouching our animal models, large format print production and managing my own product engineering for the specific space requirements of exhibits.
I also illustrated the new Taronga Conservation Society seasonal cards.
